At the Sidelines of Hero Face Off 2
Sep 4th
SM MEGAMALL MEGATRADE HALL 2 (via PLDT) – Today is a very busy day for us here at ZEN Otaku Honbu.. We are here in the bloggers area where all media activity (well, somewhat, social media activity) is happening here at the 2nd Hero Cosplay Face Off.
As you may have knew, we have been doing live blogging since earlier today, (4 September) and we are covering it like a political convention, with all the color, the drama, and possible thrills of victory and the agonies of defeat.
The bloggers area here remember me of the Print media area of the Nominating conventions of the two US parties or a press center of an international gathering. Laptops, connected to the internet, are open for use by any blogger accredited to cover the event.. and we have the best vantage view ever.. near the stage. I was also privileged to view the Control Room (though a makeshift one) for the production of the event. There is a mini-jib, three XDCAM cameras (but recording in SD MPEG mode.) and their EVS Video Production Servers all online and recording for the Upcoming special later.
So this is only the latest. Check our upcoming report on Hero Cosplay Face Off on ZEN Otaku Honbu’s main website.

The latest on ABS-CBN went like this, as I received a Tweet from our Senior Managing Desk Ed.
QTV’s Last Serious Anime (and GMA’s News Channel Foray)
Feb 11th
As of now, I am so riveted by the Tagalog Version of Animax’s Same-week gem, Kaichou-wa Maid Sama!. I could proudly say that after since The Prince of Tennis aired on the same channel, I had never watched an anime this serious and this religious as well.
Why? Because the dub is so fantastic, It was well executed, the humor is well adapted and very much, the voices fit the characters so well, a rarity for an anime on the GMA/QTV Family.
But Maid Sama! will be the last serious anime QTV will air, because by the 28th of the February, QTV will now be known as GMA News TV
TV5′s Abrupt Schedule Change, Naruto Airing twice a day and A new Anime for ABS-CBN
May 18th
Time sure flies right after the elections, when all the networks are still getting that post-election itch
Yesterday, TV5 has made an abrupt (and unannounced) changes to their programming lineup brought about by the move of their Daily Showbiz gabfest “Juicy”, which made even more juicier with the addition of the Philippines’ own version of Howard Stern, DJ Mo Twister.
Juicy was moved to the primetime (or in actuality, Late Night) slot at 11:30PM, after the primetime rerun of the Late-morning springerfest “Face to Face”.
And that, made the hell out of TV5 last Monday, where all programs had nowhere to go in a in-progress schedule
Note to Hero: Please go black on K-on airings!
Mar 13th

Hero should be doing this during the Duration of the K-on! Telecast
Note to Hero: I Know you are strapped with titles lately, but let’s face it, YOU CANNOT COMPETE WITH K-ON STARTING MARCH 16.
